We will be showcasing a demo of the UNITEX USB-LTO system at the FUJIFILM France booth during “SITEM: an International exhibition of Museums, Monuments, and Cultural Tourism,” held at an event venue beneath the Louvre Museum in Paris. SITEM is an exhibition that brings together companies providing products and services related to museums and art museums, as well as culture and tourism. Our USB-LTO system will be introduced at this event as a solution for securely and sustainably preserving a wide range of cultural heritage data over the long term.
Date: March 25 (Wed) – March 26 (Thu), 2026
Venue: Carrousel du Louvre in Paris (an event venue adjacent to the underground area of the Louvre Museum)

Linear Tape-Open

LTO [Linear Tape-Open]

  • International standard magnetic tape media. The ideal media for long-term data storage, combining high capacity, low cost, 50-year durability, energy efficiency and safety
  • The latest generation LTO-9 can store up to 45TB of data. A technology roadmap has already been released for LTO-14, and it is expected that this media will be available for a long time to come.
  • Offline shelf management allows the amount of stored data to increase indefinitely, and it is possible to protect data by building an air gap to prevent cyber attacks with zero power consumption.
UNITEX USB-LTO system has been installed in museums and national archival institutions in France, Switzerland, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, and Ireland as a data preservation system that securely passes important data assets on to future generations.
In Japan, it is used at the National Film Archive of Japan, which is operated by the National Museum of Art and promotes film culture through the preservation, research, and public presentation of films.
